Post a line from your book!
So basically, to give us a sneak peak of what you're reading..
1. Go to page 56 in the book you're reading. (if you're not reading one pick the one nearest to you)
2. Type the first sentence on the page. If it's a sentence starting from another page, just start with the next sentence.
3. Click 'Submit' and show us that book!

I cannot imagine returning to Kalika's screams empty handed. Reaching across the table, I touch his hand. "Could you do me a quick favor?"

"It was only a scrap--a tiny scale--nestling in the palm of the Doctor's hand. But it was so smooth, and its colour so pure and unusual... Even a piece as small as this, Amy thought, you'd love to have it."

I have two beside me, actually~
-Doctor Who: Nuclear Time by Oli Smith.
-Too Close to Home by Linwood Barclay.
He turned his back on the sea and loped back in the direction of the grassy dunes, spluttering an incomprehensible mix of anger and grief.

Let's say they won the New York state lottery. Would you feel like you were next in line to win?

Re: Post a line from your book!
Lol, the closest book next to me is the complete works of William Shakespeare. It has well over 2000 pages, so the 56th page is still in the user's guide xD
Omg never again. ;-;
Titles follow the First Folio, where there are somtimes minor variations of nomenclature between contents list, title at head of play and running header - our default preference is the title at the head of the play (thus, for example, Love's Labour's Lost and The Tragedy of Cymbeline as opposed to the contents list's Love's Labour Lost and Cymbeline King of Britain).
Omg never again. ;-;

"And for the top Mage-news story today!" Dan went on. "The Mages Council announced that they would allow Mr. Tomstone, a gnome, into the Guild of Historians! Can you believe it? I do -- that's what those mages are coming to these days... little, creeping, garden-planting rats!"
