I was remembering that there would be a Freshman orientation, and that I wouldn't go through what I did in my nightmare, because they'd teach me how to find my classes.

Very much so. My parents love me, we have money, I don't have any deadly diseases, I can read, I'm signed up to go to a good school, and I sleep in a bed at night and have a full stomach. I guess that makes me among the richest people in the world.

If all my schoolwork was done, it was time to go on vacation, I made some friends that went to my school, became better at cello spontaneously, and lost 15 pounds randomly, I would probably be a pretty happy camper.

hmm.... i don't get what's so bad about getting F's? well then again you all are probably used to getting really good grades. i'm stupid so F's are normal. :p
and uhm, liz, they pierced the skin right near your hip. it's a surface piercing. it's actually really pretty. <3

About Fs, I think one of the things that makes them more of a horrific event is that when you get up to high school level (or grade 10 for those on the UK system) you can't really afford not to try in school anymore. If I get an F on my report card as of this fall, it's automatic grounds for expulsion. If I get expelled, I'll have to go to public school and with an F on my permanent record, my college (and career) options will be more limited.
Also, I looked up hip piercings. They do look nice, but I think it would make sitting down pretty uncomfortable.
